Drivers Fore Survivors is a golf outing fundraiser that was organized by Ben Montgomery, who lost his 17 year battle with brain cancer in April 2008 at the age of 27. Ben’s vision was to use his passion for golf to raise funds for pediatric brain cancer research. Ben would be very pleased with the amount of donations his group has given – almost $90,000! Once again, Ben’s family and friends are dedicated to keeping his legacy alive by donating the proceeds of this year’s event to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

DFS Announces Successful 2011 and
Gains Tax-Exempt Status!

Drivers Fore Survivors, Inc is happy to announce that we raised $16,500 for Nationwide Children's Hospital in 2011! In addition, we have just learned that the IRS has granted us tax-exempt status as a 501(c)3 charity! This means that all donations to Drivers Fore Survivors, Inc can be deducted from your tax liability and also opens the door for partnerships with more Central Ohio businesses. We are thrilled to have reached this goal and must thank everyone who helped us attain it. Special thanks to Joseph M. Clark for helping us with all the paperwork!

This new status represents a significant opportunity for us to reach more people and to keep building on Ben's legacy. We will continue our strong partnership with Nationwide Children's Hospital and our hope is to raise even more funds in support of their efforts to treat and cure pediatric brain cancer. 

As always, our efforts begin and end with all our loyal supporters. If you work for or are aware of any businesses looking to support a local charity, please direct them to our website. We are anxious to hit the ground running in 2012!

Speaking of 2012, Drivers Fore Survivors, Inc will be hosting our 7th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, August 20th at historic York Golf Club. It is never too early to circle your calendar and we would love to see you all on the first tee!   • Billy Ball-Buster and DFS. Another year, another success!

    Drivers Fore Survivors recently returned from the Billy Ball-Buster Open and we had an absolute blast! Once again the event was a smashing success and more people participated than ever before. Special thanks to Jeremy and Bill Lewis for all their hard work and to everyone who came out and supported such a great event. Ben would never miss this gathering and we won't, either! Besides all the great golf and great food, The Billy Ball-Buster raised over $2200 for pediatric brain cancer research! Stay tuned for pictures of the big day!

  • 2011 Rusty Ball

    The 2011 Rusty Ball was a great time for our supporters who made the trip to Cincinnati! Drivers Fore Survivors raised $188 and we want to thank the Rusty Griswolds for their hard work on this great event. If you didn't make it this year, we highly recommend checking it out next year. Live music and philanthropy makes for a great evening! The 2012 event is scheduled for November 10th, so mark your calendars now!
